A Lesson for the Singles: Bitterness

So, let's talk about bitterness as a single person. Let's start with the definition first.

"Bitterness: anger and disappointment at being treated unfairly; resentment," thank you google for providing us with today's definition lol.

I believe bitter can be a natural feeling not just for singles, but for anyone who hasn't had the prayer answered they've been waiting on. When you have this desire on your heart, marriage, kids, a family, success in your business, you name it, and you're in this waiting season, there's two options.

Option One- I can focus on what I don't have, I can see other people having what I've been praying and waiting for, I can get angry, sad, bitter, depressed, all the emotions. I can let this stop me from doing absolutely anything, keep me in my comfy home, and not get what God is wanting me to learn and grow in this season.

Option Two- I can remind myself of God's promises over me, I can remind myself I am a daughter of a King. I can remind myself that if God put those dreams, visions, and desires in me, then He wants those things for me as well as plans to make all of them come true, IF I trust and believe Him, IF truly I take the step of faith and take the action He's waiting for me to take, I can gain every single thing God wants me to gain in this single season, and learn, grow, and heal. I can love myself, know myself better, learn boundaries and healthy communication. I can set a strong foundation in God in everything I do to keep myself in alignment with God.

I understand singles, it can get lonely, it can hurt to see others getting what you've been praying for, all the feelings. God has also lovingly reminded me that I am not them, I am me, and my journey is mine! I can believe God's Word and promises to me; God isn't going to say something that has no value or truth. I truly believe He has a beautiful love story in stored for me, and so so much more! Successful businesses, ministries to bless the next generations, peace, joy, love, and just a beautiful life ahead! I get to live every day I get, there's no need to be bitter, I get to BELIEVE and win in this season!
